Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to mined diamonds. Same carbon crystal structure, same 10 on the Mohs hardness scale, same brilliance and fire. The only difference is origin: ours are created in controlled lab environments using advanced HPHT or CVD technology, not extracted from the earth.

Not by eye. A gem lab can tell them apart with specialized equipment, because they are the same material, pure crystallized carbon, grown in different conditions.

It depends on the piece, and lab-grown prices keep moving, so we don't quote a blanket percentage. Our Math shows each piece next to a typical mined-diamond price for the same carat weight and metal, with the source on file. See Our Math

Our lab-grown diamonds come from an IGI-certified catalog (IGI is the International Gemological Institute). A center stone you choose in the ring builder comes with its own grading report: IGI for lab-grown, GIA for natural.

IGI certified means the diamond has been graded by the International Gemological Institute, an independent gem lab, which issues a report on its carat weight, color and clarity, and its cut where cut is graded. Our lab-grown diamonds come from an IGI-certified catalog, and a center stone you choose in the ring builder comes with its own report.

Lab-grown diamonds, like mined diamonds, are not investment assets. They're personal luxury goods. The difference is transparency: we don't inflate prices to create an illusion of resale value. You pay for the quality of the stone and the craftsmanship of the setting, not a markup designed to make you feel like you're 'investing.'

Our ring builder designs an engagement ring in six steps: shape, carat, diamond, setting, metal and size. Choose a round, oval, emerald, radiant or pear diamond. Every ring from the builder is made to order for you. When we have a ship date for your ring, the review step shows it before you pay. Need it by a certain day? Ask the concierge before you order.

We offer 30-day returns on non-custom pieces. Items must be unworn and in their original packaging. Custom rings from the ring builder are final sale, and if there's a quality issue, we'll make it right.

Lab-grown diamonds are just as durable as mined diamonds (10 on the Mohs scale), so everyday wear is absolutely fine. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush. Avoid harsh chemicals. Store pieces separately to prevent scratching. We recommend professional cleaning once a year.

Measure a ring that already fits the right finger, or have a local jeweler size the finger; both take a minute. Most of our rings come in US sizes 4 to 9, including half sizes, and the few made in one size say so on their page. Ring sizing guide
